Epikaizo Ministries (“we,” “our,” or “us”) operates the Epikaizo Ministries mobile application (the “App”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our App.
When you use our App, we may collect the following personal information:
- Account Information: Name, email address, phone number when you sign in with Google
- Donation Information: Name, email, phone number, donation amount, donation type (tithe, offering, seed), and mobile money number when you make a donation
- Prayer Requests: Your name and prayer request content when you submit prayer requests
- Event Registrations: Name, email, and phone number when you register for church events
- Device Information: Device type, operating system, unique device identifiers
- Usage Data: App features accessed, time spent in the app, interaction with content
- Firebase Analytics: Anonymous usage statistics and crash reports to improve app performance
- Google Sign-In: Basic profile information (name, email, profile picture) when you sign in with Google
- YouTube Data: Public sermon and video information accessed through YouTube Data API v3
- Payment Processing: Transaction status from mobile money providers (MTN Mobile Money)
We use the collected information for the following purposes:
- Church Services: To provide access to live TV streams, sermons, radio broadcasts, and devotionals
- Digital Giving: To process and record your donations, tithes, and offerings
- Prayer Ministry: To receive, manage, and respond to prayer requests
- Event Management: To register you for church events and send event notifications
- Communication: To send you important updates, notifications, and ministry information
- App Improvement: To analyze app usage and improve user experience
- Authentication: To verify your identity and secure your account
3.1 Mobile Money Payments
When you give through Mobile Money:
- We collect your MTN Mobile Money number to verify and track your donation
- You manually send money to our church account: 0766531042 (TJ Collins Ministry)
- Your donation is initially marked as “pending” until we confirm receipt
- We do NOT store your mobile money PIN or access your mobile money account
3.2 Bank Transfers
When you give via bank transfer:
- We provide our bank account details: Stanbic Bank Uganda (Account: 9030012345678)
- You complete the transfer through your own banking channels
- We ask you to send deposit slips via WhatsApp for verification
- We do NOT have access to your bank account or banking credentials
3.3 Cash Donations
When you pledge to give cash:
- We record your intended donation in the app
- You bring the cash to church or place it in offering envelopes
- Your donation remains “pending” until physically received
Important: We do NOT process payments directly through the app. All payment processing occurs through your own mobile money app, bank, or in-person cash delivery.
4. Data Sharing and Disclosure
We do NOT sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We may share your information only in the following circumstances:
4.1 Service Providers
- Google Firebase: For authentication, database storage, and analytics
- YouTube: To display sermon videos (YouTube Data API v3)
- Cloud Storage: For app data backup and synchronization
4.2 Church Leadership
- Ministry staff may access donation records and prayer requests to fulfill ministry functions
- All staff are bound by confidentiality agreements
4.3 Legal Requirements
We may disclose your information if required by law, court order, or government regulation.
5. Data Security
We implement appropriate security measures to protect your personal information:
- Encryption: Data transmitted between your device and our servers is encrypted using industry-standard protocols
- Firebase Security Rules: Database access is restricted and authenticated
- Limited Access: Only authorized ministry personnel can access user data
- Regular Updates: We regularly update security measures to address new threats
However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.
6. Data Retention
We retain your personal information for as long as necessary to:
- Provide you with app services
- Maintain donation records for financial accountability and tax purposes (typically 7 years)
- Comply with legal obligations
- Resolve disputes and enforce agreements
You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us.
7. Your Rights and Choices
You have the following rights regarding your personal information:
7.1 Access and Correction
- You can view and update your profile information within the app
- Contact us to request a copy of your personal data
7.2 Deletion
- Request deletion of your account and personal information
- Some information (donation records) may be retained for legal/financial compliance
7.3 Anonymous Giving
- You can choose to give anonymously by toggling the “Anonymous” option
- Anonymous donations are recorded without your personal details
7.4 Opt-Out
- Disable push notifications in your device settings
- Unsubscribe from email communications using links in emails
- Uninstall the app to stop all data collection
8. Children’s Privacy
Our App is intended for general audiences and does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 years of age. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information, please contact us immediately, and we will delete such information.
9. International Data Transfers
Your information is primarily stored on Firebase servers, which may be located outside Uganda. By using the App, you consent to the transfer of your information to countries that may have different data protection laws than Uganda.

Our App integrates with third-party services:
These services have their own privacy policies. We encourage you to review them.
11. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted within the App with an updated “Last Updated” date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
